Found on the upper levels of Atrium On Elliot, this is one of, if not the, cheapest Japanese spots in town.
Cheap and tasty Japanese food, Genzui offers a selection of donburi, ramen, and other Japanese side dishes. It may not be the best Japanese restaurant in Auckland (and can be quite difficult to find if you don't know where you're going) but its still quality and affordable food. Seriously, most of their dons are only $10 and similar pricing for their ramens - how value is that?! Can't be disappointed with prices like this - on a student budget, I'm definitely not complaining. Also despite the low prices, they don't skimp on the portions.
They don't have a huge amount of tables so you may have to wait during peak lunchtime.
Particularly in this cold winter weather, sometimes all you crave is a nice warm bowl of ramen and it feels good to know this satisfying meal won't cost you much!
