Khao San Eatery

Updated: Dec 13, 2019

Hidden in the backstreets of Newmarket and replacing Tao, newcomer Khao San Eatery is the place to escape to for an enjoyable Thai dining experience.

What beautiful decor this restaurant has! With simply gorgeous umbrellas hanging off the ceiling and colourful murals along the walls, I was instantly drawn into this place as soon as I walked in. Creating a relaxed yet intimate ambiance, it's the perfect spot for date night or casual drinks.

Soft Shell Crab, Prawn Pad Thai & Mixed Seafood Drunken Noodles

Named after a street in Bangkok, Khao San offers authentic Thai cuisine. Their menu offers a variety of dishes, from curries, noodles, stir-fried dishes and many small plates to choose from. Their lunch menu during the weekdays is super affordable, with prices from $13.50. We were feeling like noodles so we got the classic go-to, Prawn Pad Thai, as well as Mixed Seafood Drunken Noodles (doesn't quite make you drunk though unfortunately 😜) - both were super satisfying mains. Their small dishes just might be their secret stars of their menu. We're huge fans of soft shell crab so it was a must-get and we loved it! Also have heard good things about their shu mai and curry puffs which I will definitely have to try next time.

Thank you Khao San for inviting us!
