This relatively new Chinese eatery on Fort St is serving up authentic hand-pulled noodle dishes, Lanzhou style. We ordered the Traditional Beef Noodle Soup and Special Pork Mince Noodles plus added pork buns as a combo as it was only $5.
Simple and decent, this was a satisfying quick meal. Although I do personally prefer the wide, flat hand-pulled noodles like they do at Shaolin Kung Fu over these thinner ones, I always enjoy the chewy texture of hand-pulled noodles. HOWEVER I have since found out that you can actually request the thickness of your noodles!
You can also see the chef pulling the noodles in the kitchen in front of you which is pretty cool. My pork mince dry noodles was a bit clumpy though making it harder to mix. On my second visit, I opted for their soup noodles and got their Homemade Braised Beef Noodle Soup. I found their soup noodles tasted better than their dry ones, and as this time I requested wider thickness of my noodles, I just enjoyed the whole meal more.
