To quote lil Agnes from Despicable me, "IT'S SO FLUFFY I'M GONNA DIE!!!!" Domain & Ayr Cafe is home to the fluffiest pancakes around town.
It's a pretty cosy cafe, tucked in the corner of Parnell Rd. You'll find a spade as the door handle and a bike hanging on the wall. The cabinet food is full with goodies including gluten-free and dairy-free options
The Famous Fluffy 20 Min Pancakes are famous for a reason - they are quite possibly Auckland's best pancakes. Doesn't it just look simply AMAZING! As they say, good things takes time and dayumm these pancakes were well worth the wait! I had been eyeing these pancakes for some time and it did not disappoint one bit. Honestly the fluffiest pancakes I've ever seen.
Three huge pancakes are stacked on the plate, surrounded by berry compote and fruit, and plenty of maple syrup to drizzle with. Light, soft and fluffy, its kind of a hybrid between pancake and soufflé. The inside reminded me of marshmallow. Overall, it was delicious without being overly sweet and it's definitely a must-get if you come to this cafe.
We did a bit of table-hopping to end up seated at the best table in the cafe by the window but we got what we wanted and I'm so happy with this shot!
