Coffee? Ice cream? Why not both? I headed to Little Lato's lil store at the Auckland Fish Markets recently with some friends to try out their affogato menu!
There are five options available on their affogato menu (including dairy and gluten free options), combining their delicious gelato with a shot of hot espresso, and I had a taste of them all!
· Peanut Butter Chocolate: peanut butter gelato w/peanut butter, peanuts and dark choc - generous layer of PB, this was my favourite!
· Salted Caramello: salted butterscotch gelato w/ caramel popcorn and waffle cone - I found this one quite bitter.
· Death by Chocolate: chocolate sorbet loaded w/ cocoa nibs, brownie and dark choc - rich as expected with the use of dark chocolate.
· The Caffeine Addict: espresso gelato w/ dark choc - strongest caffeine taste (no surprise) which as a non-coffee drinker, did mean that I liked this least.
· The Classic: vanilla/coconut gelato w/ cookies - my second favourite and kinda reminded me of cookies and cream.
Each costs $12 or you can try them all for $55!
