This relatively-unknown cosy lil cafe tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood of Pt Chevalier turned out to be beyond my expectations.
Came here on a rainy Saturday with friends but this cafe totally made up for the gloomy weather - We loved our visit here! The service was lovely and we were greeted warmly upon arrival. To be honest, not much on the menu appealed to me beforehand. But all the food we ordered was beautifully presented and tasted just as good!
Since we were using Zomato Gold, we shared four dishes between three of us! We ordered the Caramelised Pancake with ice cream add-on, Crispy Pork Belly Salad, Big Daddy Breakfast and Mr Benne with Chicken Karaage. Our favourite was the Caramelised Pancake - doesn't it look amazing? It was the right level of sweetness and made even better with ice cream. The pork belly was also good - tender with flavoursome coating and paired well with the slaw.
This was also the first time I've seen chicken karaage as an option to go with eggs benedict but it was a really nice pairing! The beetroot puree was a nice and unique touch of colour.
There's not a huge amount of seating so the place got full pretty quick after we arrived. But overall an excellent cafe and I'm very glad I came here. The only thing I'd say that could be improved is the presentation of the coffee (although doesn't affect me since I don't drink coffee anyway!).
